Cambridge, Mass. - Junior Polina Movchan (Kiev, Ukraine) was named America East Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

Movchan won both of her singles matches, capturing two straight-set victories at No. 1 singles. She beat Temple's Alicia Doms, 6-1, 6-3 and topped Lehigh's Jenai Bilimoria, 6-3, 6-0.

In doubles, Movchan teamed with sophomore Jackie AltanSarnai (Hinsdale, Ill.) for an 8-1 victory.

Movchan is 4-1 at No. 1 singles and will lead the Seawolves against Princeton on Friday, February 28.
