Stony Brook, N.Y. -
The #Seawolves will look for their second consecutive home victory on Monday night when they clash with the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights at 7 p.m.

Scouting FDU

Fairleigh Dickinson owns an identical 1-2 record with Stony Brook. Like the Seawolves, the Knights claimed their first win their last time out, defeating Princeton 3-2 in double overtime. They return their leading goal scorer from a year ago in Nico Wright (three goals and five assists) who is already off to a fast start in 2014 with two goals. Despite losing their only two all-conference performers from last year, the Knights were still selected to finish second in the NEC preseason coaches' poll.

Last Time Out

Stony Brook put in an impressive shift in its home opener, downing Lehigh 3-0. Senior Keith McKenna (Great River, N.Y.) was the standout performer registering a goal and an assist. Juniors Martin Giordano (Weston, Fla.) and Alejandro Fritz (Budapest, Hungary) were the other goal scorers. Sophomore Favio Sbarra (Caracas, Venezuela) contributed two assists off the bench while redshirt freshman Tom McMahon (Nassau Bay, Texas) was inflappable in goal, making seven saves for his first career shutout and win.

Last Meeting

The last time these two teams met, back in the Seawolves 2012 season opener, things got ugly. Stony Brook matched its NCAA Division I record for goals in a game, pouring in five, en route to a 5-0 victory. Fritz, playing in his first collegiate game, scored a goal in the contest.

Deep Bench

In Stony Brook's win Friday night its bench contributed four assist on three goals. In addition to Sbarra's two helpers, freshman Akeem Morris (Elmont, N.Y.) and redshirt freshman Dario Vanegas (Miami, Fla.) both earned primary assists on the Seawolves first two goals as substitutes.
