The Stony Brook women's tennis team continued its fall season with a dominant performance at the Navy Blue & Gold Invitational this past weekend.
Sophomores Elizabeth Tsvetkov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Yana Nikolaeva (Thornhill, Ontario) and senior Louise Badoche (Paris, France) captured singles victories and Tsvetkov and Nikolaeva won the 'A' doubles flight.
Tsvetkov earned straight-set victories in four matches, including a 6-2, 7-5 win over Navy's Amanda Keller in the 'A' finals.
It was an all-Stony Brook 'B' final as Nikolaeva defeated freshman Ana Carrion Rodriguez (La Linea, Spain), 3-6, 6-4, 11.
It also was an-Stony Brook 'C' final as Badoche topped freshman Devanshi Bhimjiyani (Rajkot, India), 6-4, 6-1.
The trio of singles winners also won titles at the Brown Invitational two weeks ago.
Tsvetkov and Nikolaeva breezed through the 'A' doubles flight, ending with a 6-0 victory over the Princeton duo of Park and Goodwin.
The Seawolves are back in action when they head to New Hampshire to compete at the USTA/ITA Regionals at Dartmouth on October 22.
