The Final Countdown
The Stony Brook volleyball team closes out the regular season with matches at home against America East foes New Hampshire and Hartford Friday and Sunday at Pritchard Gymnasium.
Win and In
The simplest scenario for the Seawolves to clinch a berth in the America East Championship is to win at least one of two matches this weekend. Stony Brook holds the head-to-head tiebreakers with both Binghamton and UMBC by virtue of sets won and wins out in a three-team tiebreaker by the same tiebreakers. Any tiebreaker between the teams at 7-5, 6-6 or 5-7 would fall in the Seawolves’ favor.
You Can Play at Stony Brook
Friday's match is the Seawolves' You Can Play match. The You Can Play Project is dedicated to ensuring equality, respect and safety for all athletes, without regard to sexual orientation. You Can Play works to guarantee that athletes are given a fair opportunity to compete, judged by other athletes and fans alike, only by what they contribute to the sport or their team’s success. The Seawolves' Lo Hathaway and Melann Amory appeared in a video earlier this week. Watch it HERE.
