The Stony Brook volleyball team was edged by America East foe Binghamton in five sets (25-21, 17-25, 22-25, 25-16, 12-15) Saturday at West Gym. In the defeat, the Seawolves fall to 11-17 and 5-5 in America East, while the Bearcats improve to 8-18 and 5-6 in conference play.

- After trailing 2-1, the Seawolves hit .448 in a 25-16 fourth-set victory to force a fifth set.
- Freshman McKyla Brooks (Blasdell, N.Y.) had 13 kills and six blocks for the Seawolves.
- Senior Kathy Fletcher (West Chicago, Ill.) had 14 kills, 12 digs, three aces and three blocks.
- Senior Stephanie McFadden (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) had 14 kills and four blocks.
- Senior Nicole Vogel (Costa Mesa, Calif.) tallied 55 assists while senior Lo Hathaway (Warsaw, N.Y.) notched 20 digs.
