Stony Brook, N.Y. - Junior Jane Sallen (Lake Worth, Fla.) picked up her first America East Pitcher of the Week award after recording wins in both games of last week's doubleheader vs. Central Connecticut State. 

She was key in the Seawolves sweep over the Blue Devils, going toe-to-toe with CCSU's Laura Messina, one of the top pitchers in the Northeast, in a 1-0 victory for her first complete game shutout of the year. In game two, she entered with Stony Brook trailing 6-5 in the sixth, but pitched a perfect 1.1 innings to help Stony Brook to the comeback win. For the week, she threw 8.1 innings without allowing a run.
