Game 1 Box Score | Game 2 Box Score
ROCKVILLE, Maryland --The Stony Brook baseball team (19-11) extended their season-long winning streak to nine games by taking both games of a double header against host Georgetown (16-17) on Saturday afternoon at Shirley Povich Field.
The Seawolves scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning of game one to claim a 4-1 victory and then edged the Hoyas, 3-2, in game two behind some timely hitting and clutch pitching.
Quoting Head Coach Matt Senk
"The guys really competed the entire day against a very good Georgetown team. Our resilience was as big a reason for today's sweep as was our pitching, fielding, hitting and base running. I'm very proud of the positive intangibles we are displaying the further the season progresses"
