Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's basketball team held its 11th annual Fun Run Wednesday, with 36 participants lacing up their running shoes to join the fun.

Stony Brook freshman John Gandolfo won the 3.5-mile race with a time of 20:02.  Krista Pullen was the first woman to finish the race in a time of 25:21.

The event serves as a final conditioning tune-up for the men's basketball team, which begins practice Saturday.

Among the 13 participating players, junior Lucas Woodhouse (Greenlawn, N.Y.) had the fastest time at 24:39. Lamar Chapman led the coaching staff with a time of 24:24.
