Seawolves add transfer Dabroski

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook softball team and head coach Megan T. Bryant announced the addition of Rhode Island transfer Ally Dabroski. The sophomore will be eligible to play the 2017 season.

"Ally is a welcome addition to our program and will provide depth in the middle infield for us," said Bryant. "She is a clutch hitter, a gritty competitor and she knows how to win. Stony Brook has a lot to offer Ally academically, athletically and personally, and we know she will make the most of those opportunities."

Dabroski played one season at Rhode Island, playing in 18 games and making one start. She finished her first collegiate season hitting .154 with a double and RBI on the year. The Cedar Grove, New Jersey, play for coach Rob Stern at Mount St. Dominic, helping her team to a Non-Public A state title and Essex County championship in 2014. She also played travel ball for NJ Pride Easton Gold.
