Stony Brook faces Albany Wednesday on ESPN3

Tip-Off: The Stony Brook men's basketball team will look to extend the nation's longest active winning streak to 19 games Wednesday at Albany.  Chris Villani and Frank Sullivan will have the call on ESPN3. Josh Caray and Curt Hylton will broadcast the action on 94.3 FM The Shark.

Opponent: Albany is coming off a 108-64 victory over Maine Sunday, recording 100 points for the first time against a Division I opponent.  Ray Sanders had 22 points to lead the Great Danes.  Evan Singletary leads four Albany players in double figures with 13.1 points per game.  The Great Danes are shooting .750 from the free throw line.

Series: Since both schools joined Division I prior to the 1999-2000 season, Stony Brook leads the series, 21-18.  The Seawolves edged Albany, 69-63, on January 22 behind 20 points from Carson Puriefoy.

Last Time Out: Senior Jameel Warney (Plainfield, N.J.) had 16 points, eight rebounds and eight blocks and senior Carson Puriefoy (Wenonah, N.J.) also scored 16 points as the Stony Brook men's basketball team held off New Hampshire, 59-58, Sunday at Island Federal Credit Union Arena.

Senior Rayshaun McGrew (Chicago, Ill.) added 14 points as the Seawolves (22-4, 13-0 America East) extended the nation's longest active winning streak to 18 games.

Stony Brook has clinched a share of the America East regular season title and is the first conference school since Vermont in 2004-05 to start 13-0.

Tanner Leissner had a game-high 26 points for New Hampshire (15-10, 8-4).

Up Next: Stony Brook will travel to Maine to face the Black Bears on Sunday, February 21 at 2 p.m.
