Boston, Mass. - Sophomores Yana Nikolaeva (Thornhill, Ontario) and Elizabeth Tsvetkov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and junior Nadia Smergut (New York, N.Y.) were named All-Conference, America East announced Thursday.
The trio, which each earned all-conference last year, combined to win 52 singles matches in 2016.
Nikolaeva saw action in five of the six spots in dual matches, going 10-3 with a team-best .769 winning percentage. She went 18-5 in singles action, besting her freshman record of 11-4.
Tsvetkov won 22 singles matches for a second straight season and posted an 11-4 record in dual matches, going 7-3 at the top spot and 4-1 at No. 2.
Smergut was 8-4 in dual matches, including a 6-3 mark at the No. 4 spot. A three-time All-America East selection, Smergut went 3-0 in America East matches and 12-8 overall.
The trio were the top three doubles players in terms of wins. Tsvetkov and Nikolaeva were paired together for the majority of the season, posting a 15-5 record, including a 10-3 mark in dual matches. They won 19 doubles matches apiece.
Smergut was third on the team with 16 doubles wins. She was 10-5 in dual matches.
