Seawolves' 2019 Schedule Features Eight Home Games

2019 SCHEDULE

STONY BROOK, N.Y. –
Stony Brook men's lacrosse and head coach Jim Nagle have announced the team's 2019 schedule that includes eight home games in Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium and five ranked teams in the preseason top 25.

"We are confident and excited to accept the challenges of the 2019 schedule," Nagle said. "Our non-conference schedule will be sure to show us the adversity we need for our teams growth.  This will prepare us to be our best for the always competitive America East schedule."

The Seawolves, the 2018 America East Conference regular season champions, get the 2019 campaign underway on Feb. 16 when 10th-ranked Penn State visits LaValle Stadium. The Nittany Lions finished the season ranked in the Top 20.

Stony Brook will also host Marist (March 2), Sacred Heart (March 5), 25th-ranked Bryant (March 9) and 14th-ranked Princeton (April 6) in non-conference contests.

The non-conference slate features a trip to Providence to battle Brown (Feb. 23), a trip over to Hofstra (Feb. 26) and a visit to Queens to take on St. John's (April 2).

The Seawolves begin the defense of their conference title at Hartford on March 16 with the home conference opener on March 23 against UMBC. Binghamton visits LaValle Stadium on March 29 and Stony Brook will play at UMass Lowell (April 13) and No. 24 Vermont (April 20).

The regular season concludes on April 26 when conference rival and 15th-ranked UAlbany comes to LaValle Stadium.

The America East Championships will begin on May 2 with a pair of semifinal games before the championship game on May 4. The championships will be hosted by the highest seed.
