Courtney Murphy Earns Conference Weekly Award Following 11-Point Performance

BOSTON - Stony Brook women's lacrosse attack Courtney Murphy (Shirley, N.Y.) has been named America East Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday, April 23.

The redshirt senior tallied a career-high 11 points in the No. 1 Seawolves' win over UMBC this past week. Murphy, the NCAA career scoring champion, tallied eight goals in the conference win and now has 312 career scores in 81 career games. 

The Seawolves have now earned 14 total America East weekly awards so far this season: No. 1 Stony Brook women's lacrosse is set to host its final home contest of the 2018 regular season on Tuesday evening at LaValle Stadium, squaring off with No. 16 Penn State at 4 p.m. To purchase tickets to all Stony Brook home contests at LaValle Stadium, click here or call 631-632-WOLF.
