STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The Stony Brook women's soccer team will head out for two more road games this week, taking on Boston College in the midweek before heading to nearby Queens to face St. John's on Sunday. The Seawolves are coming off a 1-0 win at Seton Hall over the weekend and will look to carry the momentum into their final two games of a season-opening six-game road swing.
Seawolves Notes
- Sophomore
Sofia Manner (Helsinki, Finland) and freshman
Mari Brenden (Oslo, Norway) earned America East weekly honors, after helping lift the Seawolves past Seton Hall on Sunday. Manner was named Defensive Player of the Week after notching her first shutout of the year, while Brenden garnered Rookie of the Week honors for scoring the game-winner against the Pirates.
- Boston College is the second ACC team the Seawolves have faced this season, after battling then-No. 20 Notre Dame last week.
- St. John's is the second BIG EAST team Stony Brook has seen in as many weeks, as the Seawolves knocked off Seton Hall on Sunday.

Sofia Manner set a new career high with 12 save at Oregon State. She matched her previous best with nine stops in the first half. This was the first time she has reached double figures int he category.
- The Seawolves are coming off of their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013 after winning the America East Championship a season ago.
- Stony Brook was selected to finish second in the America East this season, behind New Hampshire.
- Stony Brook returns 13 letterwinners from the championship squad, including eight starters.
- The team has also welcomed eight newcomers for the 2018 season. Six freshmen have joined the squad, as well as UMBC transfer

Scouting Boston College
- The Eagles enter the midweek game with a 4-0-0 record on the year, coming off of a 2-0 win over UConn on Sunday.
- Sam Coffey leads the team with three goals and four assists on the year. She was named Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week after tallying nine points through two games last week.
- Alexis Bryant has started all four games, playing all but 45 minutes this season in goal. She has allowed just two goals and boasts a .833 save percentage.
Scouting St. John's
- The Red Storm enter the week of play at 2-2-0 on the year after a 3-0 win over Sacred Heart on Monday.
- St. John's will travel to Drexel on Thursday before hosting the Seawolves on Sunday.
- Zsani Kajan and Lucy Whipp both lead the Red Storm offense with two goals and an assist.
- Meredith Reinhardt boasts a 2-1 record in goal this season. She has allowed two goals through three appearances, boasting a .800 save percentage.
