BOSTON – For the second week in a row, junior Kiani Kerstetter (Cardiff, Calif.) was named the America East Defensive Specialist of the Week.
 
Kerstetter cracked into the Stony Brook record books over the weekend, ranking eighth in program history in career digs (1,271). In the Seawolves' two matches against UAlbany and UMBC, She combined for 47 digs and three assists. Thirty of her digs came against the Great Danes on Friday. 
 
Stony Brook is now 7-12 overall and 2-2 in the America East.
 
The Seawolves have now earned four America East weekly awards so far this season:

• Sept. 17, 2019 – Julia Kim (Setter of the Week)
• Oct. 8, 2019 –  LeAnne Sakowicz (Setter of the Week)
• Oct. 8, 2019 – Kiani Kerstetter (Co-Defensive Specialist of the Week)
• Oct. 15, 2019 – Kiani Kerstetter (Defensive Specialist of the Week)

Stony Brook heads back on the road this weekend, traveling to New Hampshire for a Sunday afternoon match at 1 p.m.
