BOSTON -- After a season that saw it win the America East Regular Season Championship, the Stony Brook men's soccer team was picked to finish second by the league's coaches in the 2019 America East Men's Soccer Preseason Poll. The Seawolves collected three first-place votes in the poll.

Stony Brook returns seven starters from 2018, including leading goal-scorer and America East First Team member, senior striker Jarred Dass (Marabella, Trinidad), along with America East Second Team member, senior defenseman Gustavo Fernandes (West Babylon, New York). 

Returning for his ninth season, head coach Ryan Anatol and the reigning America East Coaching Staff of the Year will take the field on August 30 to open the 2019 campaign against St. Francis Brooklyn in Brooklyn, N.Y.
