STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The Stony Brook men's soccer team was unable to get past a late surge by Big Ten-foe Penn State, dropping their home opener, 4-1 on Monday night from LaValle Stadium.
Quoting Head Coach Ryan Anatol
"I thought our guys responded well in the second half. We made a couple adjustments to deal with their pressure and allow us to have a little more time on the ball ... I think it's a good group. We know it's early in the year, we're still trying to figure out exactly how we want to play, what our best lineup is and individually, some performances. We're still trying to figure some things out, these games all cause problems and allow us to evaluate ourselves, but we're also able to test how we do with the things that we want to do."
