STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team is lifting the curtain to give fans a behind-the-scenes peek at its season.
"Us vs. Everybody," a weekly behind-the-scenes look at the perennial national power, premieres
on Wednesday on Lax Sports Network at 9:30 p.m.
The weekly episodes will air each Wednesday on the network, then be available on Stony Brook Athletics' social media channels on Thursday mornings.
Episode 1 features fans getting all access to head coach
Joe Spallina's Day 1 address to his team. Spallina lays out how he expects every student-athlete on the squad to play with the urgency of a senior.
Junior attacker
Kelsi LoNigro then gives viewers a sense of a day in the life of a student-athlete, taking people to class on the first day of the semester as well as to a Stony Brook basketball game.
Lax Sports Network is now a free service with no subscription required.
Stony Brook is ranked 12th in the preseason polls. The Seawolves open their season next Monday against second-ranked Syracuse inside the Carrier Dome.
"We felt this was an incredible opportunity to provide fans a look at what makes our program so unique and special," Spallina said. "It was built from scratch and is built to last. We also feel like it provides young players with a glimpse of what being a student-athlete is all about — the ups and downs and the bonds that last forever."
