STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team is ready to make waves in 2021.
 
The Seawolves checked in at No. 5 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Preseason Top 20 poll, which was released this week. 
 
Stony Brook ranked fourth in last season's final poll after recording a 4-1 record and topping two ranked opponents. 
 
Fifth-year senior Ally Kennedy was recently named US Lacrosse Magazine's Player and Midfielder of the Year.
 
Kennedy along with classmate Taryn Ohlmiller were also named preseason All-Americans.
