RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook's Mirabella Altebrando (Rookie) and Hailey Huebner (Co-Defensive) earned CAA Women's Lacrosse weekly honors. Huebner's Defensive Player of the Week nod is her fifth of the season, while it marks Altebrando's third honor of the season.

Huebner's defensive dominance continued after totaling eight caused turnovers and scooping up six ground balls in a two-win week. The sophomore defender was instrumental in the Seawolves' third win over a ranked opponent this season, registering four caused turnovers and four ground balls on the road in a 10-8 victory over No. 20 Princeton. She followed up with another stellar effort that featured four caused turnovers and helped Stony Brook hold Towson to just seven goals in Friday night's win.

Altebrando tallied seven points, including five assists, in a 2-0 week for Stony Brook that featured the Seawolves' third win over a ranked opponent. In the team's 10-8 victory on the road at No. 20 Princeton, the Miller Place, Long Island product finished with three points, scoring once and adding two helpers. The freshman attacker followed that up with three assists and a goal in a 19-7 rout of Towson. The rookie has registered multiple points in 11 of Stony Brook's 13 games this season.

Stony Brook returns to action on Sunday, April 12, when it travels to Virginia for a CAA matchup against William & Mary. Opening draw is set for noon and will stream live on FloCollege.
