STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Mary Kate Conway has burst onto the scene of the Stony Brook swimming and diving team as a freshman.

Her recent success has landed her America East Female Swimmer of the Week honors.

Conway, a product of Mohonasen High School in upstate Schenectady, won 200-yard freestyle in 1:55.08 and 500-yard freestyle in 5:09.34 and combined to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:40.38 at Binghamton on Sunday.

The America East Diving Championships will be held April 17-18 at Binghamton, while the America East Swimming Championships are slated for April 23-25 at NJIT.
