STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook baseball team's torrid start to America East play is getting noticed nationally.
The Seawolves entered the Collegiate Baseball Division I poll on Tuesday at No. 26.
It marks the program's first entrance into the poll since the 2016 preseason edition and the squad's first in-season ranking since May 12, 2014.
Stony Brook finished eighth in the CBN poll in 2012, the year it went to the College World Series, and was ranked as high as seventh that season.
The Seawolves are 19-8 overall and 15-1 in America East.
They return to action this weekend with a four-game series against NJIT, with Saturday's doubleheader on Long Island and Sunday's doubleheader in Newark.
