STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Defensive lineman
Sam Kamara's name may be called in the NFL Draft at the end of this month.
On Wednesday, Kamara was one of four Stony Brook student-athletes honored by CAA Football.
Offensive lineman
Kyle Nunez, special teams player
Anthony Del Negro and Kamara were named first-team All-CAA, while linebacker
Augie Contressa earned second-team All-CAA honors.
The 6-foot-2, 340-pound Nunez, a redshirt junior from East Islip, has appeared in 28 straight games for the Seawolves.
Del Negro, a 6-2, 230-pound redshirt junior from Bohemia, blocked three punts in four games during the abbreviated spring season.
Kamara, who has declared for the NFL draft, has 110 tackles (52 solo) and 15 sacks in 41 games with Stony Brook since 2016.
Contressa, a 6-0, 210-pound redshirt senior defensive back from Commack, produced 23 tackles (nine solo) in four games this past season.
