THE BASICS: The Seawolves return to LaValle Stadium for Homecoming when they face Maine on Saturday, October 22, at 3:30 p.m. The game will air on FloFootball with Jonny Wincott (play-by-play), Sam Kornhauser (analyst), and Sam Neidermann (sideline) on the call.

SEAWOLVES ON HOMECOMING UNDER COACH P: Stony Brook is 12-3 on Homecoming under Coach Priore and has won four out of its last five Homecoming games. The Seawolves defeated Richmond last year on Homecoming by the final score of 27-14. It is the second time in the Priore era that the Seawolves will host Maine on Homecoming. The first time that the teams met on Stony Brook's Homecoming was during the 2007 season when the Seawolves earned a thrilling 30-23 win in double overtime.

THE MATCHUP: The Seawolves are 4-5 all-time against the Black Bears and have posted a 2-2 record against them on Long Island. Stony Brook has won two out of its last three games against Maine including a 22-17 victory over the Black Bears on November 6, 2021, in Orono, Maine.

THE KID FROM OCEANSIDE: Freshman quarterback Charlie McKee earned his first career start at Fordham on October 15. The Oceanside native went 18-36 with 239 yards and two touchdowns. The 18 completions matched his total from his first career game at New Hampshire on October 8. He set new personal bests in yards and touchdowns.

SANTUCCI ENTERS THE HALL: Football alumnus Tyler Santucci '10 will be inducted into the Seawolves' Hall of Fame on Friday evening. Santucci was the football program's first full scholarship linebacker and he is regarded as one of the best defensive players in school history. Santucci became the Seawolves' first AP All-American in 2009 after he was named the Big South Defensive Player of the Year. Over the course of four seasons, the linebacker recorded 284 total tackles. He finished the 2009 season with a career-high 93 tackles. Santucci was an integral part of Stony Brook's first-ever Big South Championship team in 2009. Following his senior season, he was honored by the ECAC as an FCS All-Star. After his collegiate career concluded, Santucci was recognized as one of the top student-athletes of his era as he was selected to the Big South All-Decade Team.
