10/7/2022 1:53:00 PM

THE BASICS: The Seawolves are set to face New Hampshire on Saturday, October 8, at 3:30 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium. The game will air on FloFootball with Greg Poster (play-by-play) and O'Sullivan (analyst) on the call.

THE MATCHUP: Stony Brook is 3-6 all-time against New Hampshire and is 1-3 against the Wildcats in Durham. The Seawolves picked up a dominate 35-7 victory the last time they made the trip to Wildcat Stadium on October 13, 2018. In that game, the Seawolves received 163 rushing yards from Donald Liotine and standout defensive performances from Augie Contressa (11 tackles, three TFLs, two sacks) and Sam Kamara (four tackles, two sacks).

TALLARICO'S TRIUMPHANT START: Redshirt sophomore running back Ross Tallarico made his first career start and racked up 108 yards from scrimmage on October 1, against William & Mary. The running back ran for 76 yards on 20 carries and caught five passes for 32 yards and one touchdown. He recorded career-highs in carries, rushing yards, catches, and receiving yards. Tallarico is a walk-on who began his career at Stony Brook as a defensive back, who has since made the transition to running back.

DEFENSIVE DUO: Seawolves' graduate linebacker Reidgee Dimanche and graduate defensive back Carthell Flowers-Lloyd rank first and second on the team in tackles with 36 and 34, respectively. Dimanche ranks 10th in the league in tackles, while Flowers-Lloyd is second in the CAA in TFLs with 10.

RUN THE FOOTBALL!: Stony Brook's ground attack has been a driving force behind its offensive success. Since the start of the 2018 season, the Seawolves have rushed for over 100 yards as a team in 37 of their 43 games played. Stony Brook eclipsed the 100-yard mark 47 times out of their last 56 games dating back to the start of the 2017 season.
