ANNAPOLIS, MD. – Senior Jess Salmon set the pace early for the rest of the day by breaking an 11-year-old program record in the 100 breast in prelims on Saturday morning.
The New York native touched the wall in 1:04.12 to set a new personal best and break the program record time of 1:04.77 that was set by Jessica Peters in 2011.
At the end of day two, the Stony Brook University swimming and diving team currently sits in eighth place with 150 points amongst the team standings.
DAY ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- The 400 medley relay squad comprised of MacDonald, Salmon, Enda, and Conway earned a fourth-place finish and set a new program record with a final combined time of 3:48.58.
- Conway earned a first-place finish (ninth overall) in the B Final and set a new personal best in the 500 free with a final time of 4:57.55.
- The 200 free relay team comprised of Emma Waechter, Brenna McLaughlin, Briana Liew, and Lara Youssef secured a second-place finish in the B Finals (10th overall) with a final time of 1:38.80.
DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Salmon set a new personal best and program record in the 100 breast with a final time of 1:04.12. Salmon earned a seventh-place overall finish with a final time of 1:04.19.
- The 200 medley relay team comprised of Briana Liew, Lara Youssef, Emma Waechter, and Salmon secured a sixth-place overall finish with a final time of 1:46.22.
- Brenna McLaughlin earned a first-place finish and a new personal best in the B Final in the 400 IM with a final time of 4:35.04.
- Emma Hawkins and Reagan MacDonald rounded out the podium for the Seawolves in the 400 IM clocking in at 4:35.46 and 4:36.43, respectively.
- Mary Kate Conway touched the wall in 1:51.46 in the 200 free which was good for a third-place finish in the B Final (11th overall).
