NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Ellie Masera continues to add on to her weekly trophy case.

The Eastport, N.Y., native is the IWLCA's Co-National Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, the association announced on Tuesday afternoon. Masera totaled 10 points this week, scoring nine goals and dishing an assist in a 1-1 week that included a home win against No. 16 Johns Hopkins.

She added five goals at No. 4 Northwestern on Thursday night, setting a new career-best in her sophomore season. Her six points and five ground balls in Evanston, Ill., on Thursday are also highmarks for her Seawolves career. 

The midfielder has broken out this year, matching her goal total from a season ago through just five games with 17 on the year. She has 22 points and 26 draw controls on the year, surpassing her marks from a season ago and is a two-time America East Offensive Player of the Week.

Stony Brook continues its season on Friday night, taking on Hofstra in Hempstead, N.Y., at 7 p.m., on Lax Sports Network.
