BOSTON – Not only does Mary Kate Conway put in work in the pool, but also in the classroom, and that was confirmed on Tuesday as she was named to the America East All-Academic Team.
 
The sophomore psychology major has been named to the Dean's List each semester she has been at Stony Brook (three times), as well as the Stony Brook Society of Distinguished Scholar Athletes. Conway was also named to the 2021 America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
The Schenectady, N.Y. native not only had tremendous success in the classroom, but also in the pool. Conway recorded two first place-finishes at the Army Invite in the 100 free and 200 fly. She made her presence known at the CCSU Blue Devil Invite by securing four first-place finishes (100, 200, and 500 free, and 200 fly) and helping lead the Seawolves to a first-place team finish.
 
Conway currently holds the second-best time in the 200 fly in the America East with her time of 2:03.80. She also sits among the top 10 in the 100, 200, and 500 free with her respective times in the conference.
