STONY BROOK, N.Y. — In coordination with the Colonial Athletic Association's conference schedule release, the Stony Brook men's basketball program and head coach Geno Ford released its full 2022-23 schedule on Tuesday afternoon.

Starting November 7 with a rematch at Florida, the Seawolves will host 14 games at Island Federal Arena and face a trio of 2022 NCAA Tournament teams before the CAA Tournament commences March 3, 2023 in Washington, D.C.

"We have put together a demanding slate, with eight non-conference road games and highlighted by national powers that will challenge us during our transition to the CAA," Ford said. "The marquee games obviously jump out but we also continue our home and home series with NCAA Tournament teams in Yale and Bryant."

The two matchups with the two Bulldog schools will go back to back, with Yale coming to The Island on Dec. 3 before Stony Brook heads to Bryant on Dec. 9. Prior to that, the November slate consists of the Florida rematch and a home-opening matchup with Miami-Hamilton on Nov. 11 to kick things off. A pair of Ocean State matchups await the following week, with Rhode Island (Nov. 15) and Brown (Nov. 17).

Ford's club will spend the Thanksgiving holiday in Miami, participating in a multi-team event at Florida International with matchups against the Panthers on Nov. 23 and Eastern Washington on Nov. 25 before a home matchup with St. Joe's (LI) closes out the month on Nov. 29.

After Yale and Bryant, the Seawolves welcome Sacred Heart back to Island Federal Arena on Dec. 12 before heading to Wagner on Dec. 15. The non-conference schedule ends with Army West Point coming to town on Dec. 18 and a trip to Morgantown, W Va. to face West Virginia on Dec. 22.

The CAA era in Seawolves men's basketball begins on New Year's Eve with a matchup at Northeastern.

"Once we get into the league, everything is new, not only for the players and coaches, but for the fans too," Ford added. "It adds a new level of excitement for this season that we haven't seen in awhile."

After a trip to Monmouth on Jan. 5, Stony Brook will play four of the next five at The Island, taking on Towson (Jan. 7), Drexel (Jan. 12), Northeastern (Jan. 19) and UNC Wilmington (Jan. 21). A road matchup at North Carolina A&T on Jan. 14 is sandwiched in that stretch.

After a road weekend in Virginia against William & Mary (Jan. 26) and Hampton (Jan. 28), the Seawolves again will play three of the next four at home against Elon (Feb. 2), Monmouth (Feb. 8) and North Carolina A&T (Feb. 11).

The first Battle of Long Island will take place in Hempstead, as Stony Brook and Hofstra match up on Feb. 4. The return game will be two weeks later on Feb. 18 at Island Federal Arena.

Defending champions Delaware await in Newark, Del. on Feb. 13 before the final home weekend consists of William & Mary (Feb. 16) and the Pride on the 18th. Stony Brook will take the southern trip on the final weekend of the season, matching up with UNC Wilmington and the College of Charleston on Feb. 23 and 25.
