STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Stony Brook rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat Temple 2-1 on Tuesday evening at LaValle Stadium. Trevor Harrison netted his fifth goal of the season to tie things up before Kyle Smith's game-winning goal, the first of his collegiate career, in the 75th minute.
Temple started the scoring when Felix Ewald netted a goal in the 64th minute, assisted by Lleyton Imparato. Temple's lead lasted for less than eight minutes before Stony Brook capitalized on a miscue by the Owls.
The Seawolves leveled the game on a penalty kick goal from Trevor Harrison after a handball in the box by a Temple defender. Harrison buried the PK with his left foot, sneaking it past the keeper into the lower left corner of the cage to even the match in the 72nd minute.
Stony Brook then broke the 1-1 tie on Kyle Smith's 75th-minute goal, the first of his collegiate career. Lorenzo Selini had the assist with a beautiful ball off a set-piece from the corner. Stony Brook held strong defensively from there on out, completing the come-from-behind victory to extend its unbeaten streak to nine matches.
STATS AND NOTES
- Smith's goal was the first of his collegiate career. He has appeared in just five contests during his rookie season, playing tonight for the first time since Sept. 5 at George Washington.
- Harrison's netted his sixth goal of his senior campaign, continuing to improve upon his career high. It marked the second straight match that Harrison has scored a goal and he has registered five points across his last two matches played.
- Selini tallied his fourth assist of the season, setting up Smith for his game-winning header. Selini has notched an assist in four of his last six appearances.
- Edmond Kaiser played all 90 minutes for Stony Brook, making three stops en route to his fifth win of the season.
- The Seawolves extended their unbeaten streak to nine straight matches.

"I thought the way we played in the first half was really dominant," head coah Ryan Anatol commented postgame. "It was good to see the response after giving up the goal, to come back and score two good goals. A lot of guys came in and had a big impact off the bench, so overall I was happy with the performance."
