Swimming & Diving 2023-24 Schedule Unveiled; Season to Begin in Late October

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Head coach Mark Anderson and Stony Brook Athletics have announced the 2023-24 swimming & diving schedule, with competitions set to begin on Oct. 28, the program released on Thursday.
 
Stony Brook's schedule features four dual meets, one multi-team event, and up to three championship events.
 
"We're excited to start our second year in the CAA," said Head Coach Mark Anderson. "Last year we learned a lot in our new league. We are ready to start competing!"
 
The season begins on Saturday, Oct. 28 with a dual meet at Sacred Heart followed by another dual meet at Central Connecticut State on Nov. 4. Two weeks later, Stony Brook will compete in its only home meet of the season against Siena on Nov. 18.
 
Two weeks later, Stony Brook will compete at the ECAC Championships from the Nassau County Aquatic Center Dec. 1-3.
 
The 2024 calendar will feature an away meet on Sunday, Jan. 14 at Monmouth followed by a multi-team meet against NJIT and Rider, hosted by NJIT on Jan. 21.
 
The 2023-24 Coastal Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships will be held Feb. 27-March 3 at the Aquaplex in Hampton, Virginia.
 
Should an athlete(s) qualify, she will compete at the 2024 NCAA Zone A Swimming & Diving Championships, held at Princeton University March 11-13.
 
Prior to the start of the season, the program will hold its Red vs. Navy Intrasquad Meet on Oct. 21 at 9 a.m., which coincides with SBU's Homecoming Weekend.
 
All dual meets will begin at noon ET, except for the Sacred Heart meet, which will begin at 12:30. Start times for championship events are TBA.
 
The Seawolves finished 4-2 last season in dual meets, winning their last three. Stony Brook also finished sixth of 15 teams in the ECAC Championships last season. At the CAA Championships, Michelle Vu broke the program record with a time of 23.69 in the 200M freestyle relay.
 
Stony Brook returns many athletes who set personal bests last season, and brings six new freshmen to the roster for 2023-24.
