RICHMOND, Va. – Stony Brook men's lacrosse senior attack
Dylan Pallonetti has been named CAA Player of the Week, as he led the Seawolves to two wins, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Pallonetti helped lead the Seawolves to home wins over Air Force and Sacred Heart, as he tallied 14 total points, which included 10 goals and four assists. In addition to his 14 points, he scooped up 10 ground balls.
Pallonetti began the week by registering a career-high 10 points (six goals and four assists) in the Seawolves' 15-8 win over Air Force on Friday. His six goals tied his career-high from his Stony Brook debut on February 13, 2021. One of his goals came with a man-up and he added six ground balls in the win. On Sunday, the attackman rattled the cage four times and picked up four ground balls in Stony Brook's 15-12 win over Sacred Heart.
He is the first student-athlete in program history to earn CAA Player of the Week honors in Stony Brook's inaugural year in the conference. Sophomore goalie Jamison MacLachlan earned CAA Defensive Player of the Week on February 13.
The senior from Stony Brook, New York, currently leads the Seawolves with 14 goals and 19 points. He is tied for the team-lead with five assists on the season.
Pallonetti ranks second in the CAA in total goals and fourth in total points this season. He is first in the conference in shots per game, averaging 9.75 attempts.
