BALTIMORE, Md. – After quickly making its presence known in the CAA with a dominant 2-0 start and three top-25 wins, four Stony Brook women's lacrosse players have been named ILWomen Midseason All-Americans, the organization announced on Friday morning.

Junior midfielder Ellie Masera highlights the list for the Seawolves with a First Team selection. Masera is one of just three juniors named to the First Team while ranking second nationally in in goals per game and shots on goal per game. The Preseason Midfielder of the Year and Preseason CAA Player of the Year also ranks eighth in the nation for goals and 11th for points per game.

Graduate Haley Dillon, senior Kailyn Hart and junior Clare Levy all earned Honorable Mention accolades.

Dillon and Levy anchor a Seawolves defense that sits top 15 nationally, allowing 8.89 goals per game this season. They have held teams in single digits five times this year, including holding No. 2 Northwestern to the least number of goals the squad has scored during the 2023 campaign (13). Dillon currently sits within the top 50 in the country in caused turnovers per game (1.62).

The Seawolves' scoring success is largely due to Hart as the attacker currently leads the squad in assists (18) and sits within the top 30 nationally for assists per game (2.00). The senior also ranks within the top 35 in assists and the top 40 in points per game (4.11).

All four players were named ILWomen Preseason All-American honors and were tabbed ILWomen Midseason All-Americans during the 2022 campaign.

They return to the field on Sunday afternoon, taking on Drexel at 1 p.m. at LaValle Stadium before heading down the Jersey Shore for a 1 p.m. face-off with Monmouth on Friday afternoon.
