NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The postseason accolades keep coming in for Stony Brook women's lacrosse, as the Seawolves earned three spots on the IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region team, the organization announced on Thursday afternoon.

On the first team was CAA Midfielder of the Year, Ellie Masera, and All-CAA First Team recipient, Kailyn Hart. Junior defender Clare Levy earned second team honors. All three were recognized as USA Lacrosse Magazine All-Americans on Tuesday afternoon.

Masera has had a junior season to remember as she has already been selected to the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American First Team, was named the CAA Midfielder of the Year, voted to the All-CAA First Team, and earned the CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Performer honor after she helped lead the Seawolves to a 19-4 victory over Towson to claim the conference title.

In addition to her recent accolades, the junior was named the IWLCA Offensive National Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in the regular season finale against Hofstra on April 28. Masera ranks seventh in the nation in goals (67), tied for fourth in goals per game (3.94), fifth in points per game (5.16), and third in shots on goal per game (6.24).

Hart was also named a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American on Tuesday, earning honorable mention accolades. Like Masera , Hart was tabbed to the All-CAA First Team and was selected to the CAA All-Tournament Team. She ranks second in the CAA in goals per game (2.82) and points per game (4.18), and fourth in assists per game (1.35). The senior tallied 12 hat tricks this season and has done so in each of her last eight games. Hart also earned ILWomen Midseason All-American Honorable Mention honors and was the first Seawolf to be named the CAA Player of the Week.

Levy was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Third Team and joined Masera and Hart on the All-CAA First Team.  Levy was also named to the CAA All-Tournament Team. The Rocky Point, N.Y., native helped anchor the fourth best scoring defense in the nation and best defense in the CAA this year as the squad only allowed 7.82 goals per game. In addition to her strong defensive ability, Levy also makes her presence known at the draw. The junior currently ranks within the top 10 in the conference for draw controls per game in CAA play. During the CAA Tournament, Levy scored her first two goals of the season.

The Seawolves start their NCAA Tournament journey on Friday evening, taking on Penn State at 7 p.m. at Loyola Maryland.

The Mid-Atlantic Region is comprised of 31 schools from the Big Ten, Ivy League, Atlantic 10, Northeast Conference and others and is one of four regions designated by the IWLCA for All-Region accolades. These three student-athletes are now eligible to be selected as an IWLCA All-American later in the month.
