NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — After capturing their first CAA Championship in their inaugural season in the conference and advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament, the Stony Brook women's lacrosse program was again recognized for excellence in the classroom as five Seawolves were named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.

The IWLCA honored 949 student-athletes from 96 different institutions on the 2023 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The Seawolves are coming off an historic season by winning their first-ever CAA Championship in their first season in the conference and defeated Penn State in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Loyola (Md.) in the Second Round. Junior Ellie Masera earned IWLCA Second Team honors, while senior Kailyn Hart and graduate Haley Dillon both earned Honorable Mention accolades after helping lead the Seawolves to their fifth NCAA Round Two trip in the last six tournaments.

Also, the squad's 34-game home winning streak is also second-longest in the country after producing a 6-0 mark in the 2023 campaign with victories over ranked teams that included No. 18 Michigan and No. 21 Yale.
