NEW BRITAIN, CONN.- The Stony Brook men's cross country team wrapped up its regular season on Friday at the Central Connecticut Mini Meet.
As a team, the Seawolves finished sixth with 148 points. John Fontanez ran Stony Brook's best race of the event en route to a 27th-place finish in the Varsity 3000m.
Neel Chittur (32nd) and
Thomas Burfeind (34th) each posted a solid individual performance to round out the Seawolves' top 40 placements.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Fontanez was Stony Brook's top performer, finishing in 27th with a time of 15:16.94.
- Chittur (32nd) ran to a strong time of 15:24.62
- Burfeind rounded out Stony Brook's top 40 placements with 15:25.48 clocking.
