STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook swimming & diving saw a pair of divers qualify for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships, as senior
Sara DiStefano and sophomore
Jocelyn Lichwick earned their opportunities for the national competition in March.
Both divers earned their spots from their performances at the dual meet on Jan. 27. The NCAA Zone A Championships will be held March 11-13 at DeNunzio Pool in Princeton, N.J., hosted by Princeton University.
DiStefano qualified for the national competition for the third straight year. She qualified for both the 1-meter diving with a six-dive score of 275.10 and the 3-meter diving with a six-dive score of 289.88 at Stony Brook's most recent dual meet.
