Swim & Dive Capture Five First-Place Finishes Against Monmouth

NEWARK N.J.- Stony Brook swimming and diving wrapped up its regular season conference competition on Friday afternoon, falling 137-100 to Monmouth.

The Seawolves tallied five event wins against the Hawks, with three in the pool and two on the diving board. Sara DiStefano continued her strong season on Friday, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives. Francesca Baber, Michelle Vu, and Alanna DePinto recorded event wins in the pool.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • DiStefano captured wins in both diving events, winning the 1-meter (246.22) and 3-meter (273.45) dives.
  • Vu swam to a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing in 57.82.
  • DePinto took first in the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 53.91.
  • Baber won the 200-yard freestyle with a strong final time of 1:57.09.

The Seawolves return home to University Pool tomorrow to wrap up the regular season against Manhattan. The action starts at 1 p.m. and will stream live on FloCollege.
