Goslar Receives First Career CAA Runner Of The Week Award

RICHMOND, Va. — The Stony Brook women's cross country team has earned its first weekly honor of the 2025 season, as Shaylen Goslar was named CAA Runner of the Week by the league office today, following her first-place finish in the 3000-meter varsity event at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet last Friday.

This weekly award is the first of Goslar's career, off the heels of her impressive performance last week, outpacing 44 other runners to claim individual victory in New Britain, as she blazed through the course in 9:44.29, beating her nearest competitor by six seconds. Goslar's strong run helped lead the Seawolves to a second-place finish at the mini meet, as two other Stony Brook runners placed inside the top eight.

Goslar and the Seawolves are back in action this Friday, October 31, for the 2025 CAA Cross Country Championships in New Jersey.
