RICHMOND, Va. – Stony Brook redshirt freshman quarterback Quinn Boyd has been named CAA Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday morning. The recognition follows another strong performance from Boyd, who earned his second CAA Weekly honor of the season.

Boyd accounted for 343 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in Stony Brook's 35-28 victory over Bryant on Senior Day at LaValle Stadium. He completed 33 of 47 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns, marking his fourth consecutive game with at least 250 passing yards. He also added 45 yards and one rushing touchdown on 13 carries.

Boyd played a central role in the final sequence of the game, guiding the Seawolves on a late scoring drive that broke a 28-28 tie. The drive concluded with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Cole Bunicci with 51 seconds remaining, providing the deciding score in the regular-season finale.

The freshman's performance continued a notable five-game stretch to close the season. In those starts, Boyd totaled 1,431 yards of offense, averaging 286.2 yards per game. He recorded 10 passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns, and did not throw an interception during that span. Over those games, he completed a high percentage of his attempts while maintaining consistent production through the air and on the ground.
