  • This will be Stony Brook's third first-time opponent in 2025, joining Lindenwood and San Diego State.
  • Selected to finish 14th in the CAA Coaches' Preseason Poll, the North Carolina A&T Aggies come to the Island with a 2-7 (2-3 CAA) record this season, with victories over Hampton and Campbell.
  • The Aggies are led by Shawn Gibbs, who enters his first season as A&T's head coach and his first as a Division I-FCS head coach after spending the previous three seasons at Division II Fort Valley State University (FVSU).
  • In their last outing, the Seawolves were defeated at Maine, 28-21, this past Saturday. The Aggies also fell in their most recent game, dropping a 62-9 contest to Towson.

ABOUT THE AGGIES
  • Shawn Gibbs enters his first season at the helm of the Aggies program with a career record of 22-9 after three seasons at Fort Valley State. He not only holds the longest field goal in program history, but is also the all-time leader in field goals made (44), field goals attempted (64), and 50-plus-yard field goals made (4). Brown is also tied for the third-longest field goal in CAA history.
  • In their victory over Campbell on Oct. 25, punt returner Elijah Kennedy returned two kicks for touchdowns in the fourth quarter — a 96-yard punt return that tied a program record and an 85-yard kickoff return for the game-winner. Kennedy finished with 228 all-purpose yards, earning CAA and FCS Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
