Swim & Dive In First Place After Strong Day One At ECAC Championships

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The Stony Brook swimming and diving team started the 2025 ECAC Championships with impressive performances in both swimming and diving events. After the first day of competition, the Seawolves are in first place.

The Seawolves opened up the day with several strong outings in the preliminary rounds, as 14 different Seawolves punched their tickets to Friday night's finals. Building off its momentum in prelims, Stony Brook produced several strong results in the finals on Friday night, highlighted by three second-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM, and the 400-yard medley relay.

At the end of day one, Stony Brook leads all teams with 484.50 points.

UP NEXT
The Seawolves are back to it tomorrow for day two of competition at the 2025 ECAC Championships, with prelims scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., followed by finals later that night at 6:00 p.m.
