RICHMOND, Va. — After securing their first victory of 2026, the Seawolves saw sophomore diver
Natalia Chornomidza honored as CAA Diver of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Long Island native earned her second CAA weekly honor of the season, having previously received the award on Nov. 18.
Chornomidza had a standout performance as Stony Brook cruised to a 160-66 win over Monmouth, climbing the podium twice. She captured first place in the 3-meter diving competition with a score of 282.15 and finished second in the 1-meter event with 264.15 points, helping the Seawolves secure their first-ever victory over the Hawks.
Stony Brook and Chornomidza will return to the pool on Saturday, traveling to New Jersey to face Rider at 1:00 p.m.
