Seawolves Cruise Past Rider, Winning 14 Events In Third Consecutive Victory

NEWARK, N.J. - Stony Brook swimming & diving recorded its third consecutive victory Saturday afternoon, defeating Rider 210-90. The Seawolves cruised to victory in Newark off the back of 14 event wins out of a possible 18.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Mykayla Lavery won the 1-meter diving event (234.90).
  • The team of Kunzang Sharchitsang, Alanna DePinto, Michelle Vu, and Avari Wischhof won the 200-yard medley relay (1:44.98).
  • Meredith Yuhasz finished first in the 1,000-yard freestyle event (10:35.31).
  • Francesca Baber took first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.71).
  • Pelagia Chazov secured a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.61).
  • Carson Kien won the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.14).
  • Natalia Chornomidza won the 3-meter diving event (227.35).
  • DePinto picked up a win in the 100-yard freestyle (51.91).
  • Wischhof finished first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.13).
  • Chazov placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.42).
  • Baber picked up another win in the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.22).
  • Chazov's third event win came via the 100-yard butterfly event (57.85).
  • Elaine Liu won the 400-yard IM (4:35.20).
  • Wischhof, Vu, Kien, and Baber teamed to win the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:31.66).

UP NEXT
The Seawolves will head up to Boston to resume CAA competion taking on Northeastern on Saturday, January 24. Action is set to begin at 1 pm and will stream live on FloCollege.
