Men’s Track & Field Medal in Three Events at 2026 Indoor CAA Championships

BOSTON, Mass. - Stony Brook men's track & field competed at the 2026 CAA Indoor Championships on Sunday, medaling in three events. Throughout the day's worth of events, the Seawolves earned 41 points, finishing sixth overall.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Henry Gartner earned himself a silver medal in the 3,000-meter, setting a new PR in the process (8:10.08).
  • Caleb Gartner finished third in the mile run, getting a bronze medal for his strong performance (4:09.03).
  • Caleb Gartner, Andres Acosta Mondriguez, Walesky Nowak, and Jaden Medrano won a bronze medal in the 4x800-meter relay. Their time of 7:35.33 also earned them a new program record in the event.
  • Jamal Joseph, Matthew Brodsky, Ryan Swinea, and Luke Clackett finished fourth in the 4x400-meter relay, scoring five points for their run (3:21.77).
  • Peter Fogarty picked up a fourth-place finish in the 5,000-meter and scored five points for the Seawolves (14:31.89).
  • Henry Gartner scored an additional four points for Stony Brook in the 5,000-meter with a placement of fifth (14:36.78).
  • Ethan Green recorded a sixth-place finish in the 3,000-meter, scoring three points for Stony Brook. His time of 8:18.75 was a new PR.
  • Green scored two points for the Seawolves in the mile run, finishing seventh (4:12.28).
  • Collin Gilstrap earned a point in the mile run with his eighth-place finish (4:13.28).
  • T'Vario Willis scored a point for Stony Brook in the high jump (1.92m).
