RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook's Braeden Siverson earned CAA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career, as announced on Monday afternoon.

Siverson won 18 draw controls, setting a new single-game program record and a CAA benchmark in Stony Brook's 18-9 win at William & Mary. Siverson was responsible for 18 of Stony Brook's 22 draw control wins and 18 of the contest's 29 total, securing 62.1% of the draws. Her 18 DCs exceeded former Seawolves' standout Ellie Masera, who won 17 draws against Villanova on March 2, 2024. Offensively, Siverson added a pair of assists.

Stony Brook hosts a pair of games this week, beginning with Arizona State on Wednesday, April 15. After closing out non-conference play, the Seawolves welcome Hofstra on Friday, April 17. The annual Battle of Long Island is slated for a 6:31 pm start at LaValle Stadium.
