RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook's Mirabella Altebrando (Rookie) and Hailey Huebner (Defensive) earned CAA Women's Lacrosse weekly honors, as announced on Monday afternoon. Huebner's Defensive Player of the Week nod is her sixth of the season, while it marks Altebrando's fourth honor of the season.

Altebrando amassed 12 points in a 2-0 week for Stony Brook, impacting more than a third of the team's scoring in wins over Arizona State and Hofstra. Altebrando began the week with a seven-point effort against the Sun Devils, notching a hat trick and dishing out four assists in a 19-6 routing. The freshman attacker followed that up with five assists in a 15-4 win over Hofstra in the Battle of Long Island and the No. 1 overall seed in the CAA Women's Lacrosse Championship.
Huebner was instrumental in helping Stony Brook allow just 10 total goals in a 2-0 week. The sophomore defender caused a combined 11 turnovers in victories over Arizona State and Hofstra. After a trio of forced miscues against the Sun Devils, Huebner's eight caused turnovers and five ground balls stifled the opposition in a 15-4 win over Hofstra to guide the Seawolves to at least a share of the CAA Regular Season Championship for the fourth straight season. The Seawolves' defender also tied the most caused turnovers in a conference game, matching George Mason's Kinsley O'Garrow against Richmond on April 14, 2000.

Stony Brook closes out the regular season at Elon on Friday, April 24. The 2026 CAA Championship will be played at LaValle Stadium, with the semifinals set for Thursday, April 30 and the championship game on Saturday, May 2.
