LEXINGTON, Ky. - Stony Brook women's track and field athlete Grace Weigele competed in the national semifinals of the 5,000-meter at the NCAA East Region First Round on Saturday.

Stony Brook's lone representative in Kentucky, Weigele finished her race with a time of 16:46.56, placing her 45th overall. Only the top 12 finishers advanced to next week's championship round.

This marked her second time competing in the NCAA Outdoor Regionals after also qualifying in 2024 and finishing 33rd in the 5,000m with a time of 16:29.71.
