SPARKS, Md. — Four members of Stony Brook women's lacrosse earned USA Lacrosse All-American honors as announced by the organization Thursday afternoon. Junior midfielder Isabella Caporuscio (Second Team), freshman attack Mirabella Altebrando (Honorable Mention), sophomore midfielder Julia Fusco (Honorable Mention), and sophomore defender Hailey Huebner (Honorable Mention) brought home this year's honors for the Seawolves.

Caporuscio, the CAA Midfielder of the Year for a second straight season and All-CAA First Team selection, has helped lead Stony Brook on both ends all year long, stuffing the stat sheet in several statistical categories. Her 60 goals on the year are a team-best, as she has scored multiple goals in 17 games this season. She has also dished out 16 assists this year, giving her 76 total points, the most on the Seawolves. Additionally, the junior ranks second on Stony Brook in draw controls (54), ground balls (51), and caused turnovers (48). Caporuscio played a pivotal role in the Seawolves' fourth consecutive CAA championship, racking up 10 goals, seven ground balls, seven draw controls, and five caused turnovers during the CAA tournament, earning herself the Most Outstanding Player Award for her efforts.

Altebrando has had a standout season for Stony Brook, putting the nation on notice as a freshman and being unanimously named the CAA Rookie of the Year, in addition to earning CAA All-Rookie Team and All-CAA Second Team distinctions. The freshman has burst onto the scene in 2026 with 71 points via 55 assists and 16 goals. Her 55 total assists rank seventh overall in the nation and are tied for the sixth most in a single season in Seawolf program history. Altebrando's 71 points thus far are the second most by a freshman this season, trailing only Clesom's Alexa Spallina (104 points). The playmaking ability of Altebrando has paid major dividends for Stony Brook in 2026, helping the offensive unit average 14.84 goals per contest, the 10th-best mark in the nation.

Building off an impressive freshman campaign, Fusco has continued to be a key contributor for the Seawolves this season, earning All-CAA First Team honors. Through 19 games this season, the sophomore has totaled 60 points via 48 goals and 12 assists. Fusco has posted multi-goal performances in 14 games this season, including three games with five goals.

Huebner has put forward one of the best seasons ever by a Stony Brook defender this year, unanimously earning the CAA Defensive Player of the Year award and getting a spot on the All-CAA First Team. In 19 games, the sophomore has totaled 66 caused turnovers, the second most in the nation, and is tied for the second most ever in a season in Stony Brook history. The Bethesda, Maryland native has forced at least three caused turnovers in 15 contests this season, helping her take home six CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors. She has also scooped up 52 ground balls, which leads the Seawolves and is tied for ninth in the country. Huebner's consistency on the defensive end has helped lead Stony Brook to the fifth-best scoring defense this season, which only allows 7.53 goals per contest.
