Stony Brook Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook volleyball team officially announced its full 2026 schedule on Wednesday. The Seawolves will open the year with 10 straight non-conference matches on the road before beginning CAA play in late September. 

The season kicks off down in Florida on August 28 with the start of the UCF Invitational. After opening with Robert Morris on Friday, the Seawolves will then play back-to-back Power Four opponents with NC State later that day and the host UCF on Saturday to close out the tournament.

Stony Brook wraps up its time in the Sunshine State with a brief stop in Gainesville on Sunday the 30th as they take on their third P4 opponent in a row with 2025 NCAA tournament participant Florida.

The team then heads out to Annapolis, Maryland for the Kristen Dickmann Invitational hosted by Navy to start the month September. Action begins on Friday, September 4 with Penn, followed by 2026 MEAC champion Coppin State on Saturday and the host Navy in the finale on Sunday.

The non-conference schedule concludes the following week in New Jersey with the Rutgers Invitational. The Seawolves start the tournament against the host school on Thursday, September 10 in what will be their fourth Power Four matchup of the year. Then they face 2025 MAAC runner-up Rider on Friday before wrapping things up with the non-conference finale vs. former CAA foe Delaware on Saturday. 

Conference play gets underway on the road at William & Mary from September 18-19. After 12 consecutive road games to open the season, the Seawolves will finally play their home opener on September 25-26 when they host Hofstra in the Battle of Long Island.

October begins on the road as Stony Brook faces Elon (Oct. 2-3) for the first time since 2024. The Seawolves will then have a bye week before returning to action 13 days later when they host Charleston (Oct. 16-17).

After a road matchup in Boston against Northeastern (Oct. 24-25), Stony Brook closes out the month at home with UNCW (Oct. 30-31).

November opens with the final road series of the year as the Seawolves take on the reigning CAA champion Campbell (Nov. 6-7). Finally, the regular season concludes on November 13-14 when Stony Brook hosts Towson.

The CAA tournament will take place the following week from November 19-21 down at Campbell University as the Seawolves will look to make it five straight tournament appearances since joining the conference.
